Why join the Victorian Society?
Become a member of the Victorian Society and help save the best examples of Victorian and Edwardian architecture when they are threatened with demolition or unsuitable alteration. We also lobby Government for changes in the laws which protect our unique built heritage. Members' subscriptions go partly towards the employment of expert Conservation Advisers who are at the forefront of the battle to protect the best remaining Victorian and Edwardian architecture.
By joining, you'll support our campaigns for Victorian and Edwardian buildings. You'll help us save the treasures of the past from the ravages of short-termism.
In return, we'll keep you up to date with our magazine, The Victorian, which comes out three times a year and has articles on Victorian and Edwardian architecture, landscapes and related arts, and information about our campaigns. You'll be able to come to the many events we organise — regular lectures, conferences and visits to Victorian and Edwardian buildings, many of which are not normally open to the public. We have a number of regional groups around the country which also organise regular activities.
But, most importantly, you'll have the satisfaction of knowing that you have helped save something special for the future.
